This is not your typical college program or talk. Zach truly believes that to begin focusing on what or how, we have to first deeply awaken and believe in our "Why?"
"College with Authentic Purpose" takes students on an inspiring and exciting journey toward reflecting on, awakening, and proving their own personal purpose through their college experience.
Zach offers this and similar sessions for new students, current students, and student leaders.
Using his own inspiring personal story of finding purpose after college, mind-shifting research on the benefits of purpose, and compelling stories of the power of living college life with purpose, Zach shows students how they can can radically transform their academics, organizations, campus engagement, community service, and campus communities by living with authentic purpose.
The THREE BELIEFS OF PURPOSEFUL STUDENTS
Formats: 30, 60, 75 minute keynotes; 3-hour training, 8-hour retreat
College with Authentic Purpose focuses on three principles to equip college students to awaken their Authentic Purpose:
1. The Belief that you matter.
Your purpose could be sitting next to you right now. In an environment where college students are increasingly focused on future goals, jobs after college, and other "whats," students can overlook their tremendous value in the present moment. By learning to believe that right now is "real life," we can begin to awaken purpose and build more intentional and supportive campus communities.
2. Awakening and believing In your "why?"
Each person has a unique reason for being in the 6.7% of the world who has the opportunity to earn a college degree (New York Times, 2012). By reflecting on and confidently stating their purpose statements, college students can begin to structure actions and decisions to deliver and align with their reason.
3. Proving Your "why?" every day
No one cares what we believe or why we exist unless we prove it every day. Students will learn how to ask better questions, and to re-frame every day moments as opportunities to deliver their purpose to the world.
Zach is most requested for new student orientation, student leader training, leadership retreats, conferences, and college orientations.
